Book grabbing survey results

Okay, so the results weren't THAT exciting. And I don't say that because I don't appreciate you voters out there... but I had another poll up at first, and for some reason it went all wonky on me and disappeared, so I think there were more votes than this is showing. Oh well. Thanks for voting, guys! (If this post comes out weird, I apologize. Copy and paste isn't always my friend.)

Here's the results to last week's poll (yes, I voted, too!) :

How many of you finish a book, even if it's not grabbing you?

I read it anyway.

I skim through the pages to finish faster.

I flip to the back to find out how it ends.

I know I voted in that! I said stop reading- life is too short - I just wanted to amend to say - this book I am reading right now is VERY hard to finish - story is fine (yes only fine - no super fun or crazy or jolting OMG moments - very predictable, and familiar as in, to an extent - been done, etc.) but writing is not so pleasant. I could seriously be the only one to think that, I'll be sure to read reviews on it when I am done to see if they match up to my opinion. ANYWAY, point is - I am still reading (forcefully) just so I can get on to my next pic! Who woulda thunk it???! ha ha ...
of course I'm not done yet, maybe it will be one of those knock me over with a feather moments in the end?? I can hope right?

I'm kind of surprised at how many people will slog through a book they're not enjoying. I'm definitely in the Life's Too Short camp. :)

I should have voted. Sorry. I'd be the one who'd stop. Life IS too short.

Wow! I am super surprised. I didn't get a chance to vote, but I almost always finish a book regardless. I thought more people would have done that.

I voted for 'Finish it anyway.' I'm not saying that I NEVER set one down and abandon it, but I'm sort of obsessed with reading something that I hate and then reworking it in my head the way I'd handle it. I think it teaches me and shapes my own writing.
