I learned never to empty the well of my writing, but always to stop when there was still something there in the deep part of the well, and let it refill at night from the springs that fed it. ~Ernest Hemingway
Way better idea than sitting there and staring at a blank screen for an hour or two (knowing your brain is done for the day, but refusing to give up), don't you think?

I think my springs are clogged...or poisoned, maybe. :-)
I note that Hemingway also used to drink a lot, so maybe that's another tactic to employ.
Ah. Drinking! And isn't this a good weekend for that? ;) Thanks Travener. =)
Summer, I hope you get some rest this weekend! Or, when all else fails, read a book kind of like yours. (Sometimes that helps - either I stop every few pages because it makes me think of something and I have to go work on the WiP, or I read the whole thing and get mad that I'm not as good... though eventually it does help me rework things. Anyway, let's hope for the first one ;) )
Oh haven't we all been there, staring at that screen? Love the quote, definitely one to remember, and use!
